First and foremost, it’s been an honor DJing at some of the most beautiful Wedding Venues Austin Texas and the Hill Country. ATX DJ has been part of over 1,500 public events. What an unbelievable ride it’s been over the last ten years as a full-time Austin wedding DJ. Every location is made up of characteristics. I’m going to share some pictures and observations from an Austin wedding DJs perspective about ATX DJs Top 20 Wedding Venues!
ATX DJ ‘s Best 20 Wedding Venues in Austin Texas and the Hill Country

1. Barr Mansion – Wedding Venue Austin
“Wow” is the first word that comes to mind when I think about this amazing wedding venue. There are so many reasons that this place gives an authentic Austin experience! First off, Barr Mansion is an organic Austin staple; guests are awed by the grounds which include ornamental and edible landscape. The Artisan Ballroom is elegant yet presents a laid-back atmosphere for weddings and most any special event. The food is fantastic, and the staff is top-notch – they simply take care of every little detail to make for a perfect wedding. It’s such a stunning venue that for sure makes into my top 5 for 2017! 2. Brodie Homestead
Brodie Homestead is the ideal location for an “urban-barn” style wedding and has quickly become one of our favorites. The property was a working horse farm and landmark for Austinites since the 1940s. Following was a total renovation in 2014, Brodie Homestead has quickly proven to be one of the top wedding venues Austin and surrounding areas. From an indoor, beautiful wedding ceremony to a rocking reception – Brodie Homestead is certainly a top ATX DJ’s Top 20 Wedding Venues Austin. 3. Camp Lucy – Ian’s Chapel/ Sacred Oaks
Camp Lucy holds a special place in my heart. The ceremony sites are fascinating, and the reception areas are all magical. The historical property features four unique event venues and many breathtaking views. Some of the best weddings that I’ve DJed have been at Camp Lucy. There’s a reason these locations rock so much – they are made for weddings! The staff and everything about the venue put Camp Lucy atop our Top 20 wedding venues Austin and the Hill Country!
4. Canyonwood Ridge
I’ve DJed a couple of times here and immediately fell in love with Canyonwood Ridge. The gem of a property is located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Austin in the wedding mecca of Dripping Springs. The site sits on a ridge top, wrapped in oak trees with scenic hill country views and was designed specifically for weddings. Since they have the outdoor ceremony site, as well as the indoor Chapel, they offer planning flexibility and picturesque backdrops for almost any wedding you can plan. I just love the lighting and layout of this stunning venue. It jumped quickly to the top of ATX DJ’s Top 20 Wedding venues Austin Texas and the Hill Country!
5. Four Seasons Austin Hotel
In the heart of the Texas capital, Four Seasons Hotel Austin offers a romantic setting for your wedding. The staff displays exemplary service and the Hill Country’s finest views. From invitations to wedding cakes, floral creations to memorable farewells, trust Four Seasons to simplify your planning and make your wedding day everything you have ever imagined. If you’re looking for an upscale ballroom feel, go for a walk-through and check this stellar venue out! The McKellar’s are some of our fave’s to work alongside, check them out for sure! 6. Hotel Ella
Hotel Ella is stunning and located in downtown Austin within walking distance to the University of Texas campus. It’s a stylish boutique hotel housed in the historic Goodall Wooten House, one of Austin’s original landmark estates. Ella was Constructed in 1900 as a Greek Revival-style mansion underwent an extensive renovation in 2013, now offering the perfect balance between modernity and a rich history rooted in the fabric of the neighborhood and the university. This venue is a perfect backdrop for a medium-sized, downtown Austin, Ballroom wedding!
7. Hummingbird House
Hummingbird House is for sure in my personal top 10 of our top 20 Favorite Wedding Venues in Austin Texas and The Hill Country! I’ve watched this place transform from a beautiful home into a stunning wedding venue. From the amazing ceremony site to the indoor reception area, you’re guaranteed to have the wedding that you’ve always dreamed! Conveniently located in South Austin, Hummingbird House is the quintessential Garden Venue! Feel far away from the ordinary in an oasis of lush greens, blooming tropical flowers and large palms. Danny and company spare no expense to make sure you have the best wedding possible.
8. Lakeway Resort & Spa
This beautiful wedding venue is a perfect place for a ceremony and reception. Start your forever at Lakeway Resort and Spa and experience a unique blend of rustic beauty and modern convenience. Suspended high above shimmering Lake Travis, the venue includes an elegant ballroom, wrap-around outdoor terraces and lovely event rooms for intimate gatherings, wedding brunches, and rehearsal dinners. 9. Ma Maison
This top-notch venue makes the top 10 of our Top 20 Wedding Venues! Ma Maison is an elaborate and versatile property! It’s is the ideal setting for a beautiful, unforgettable wedding. The possibilities at this beauty are endless. You can choose from outdoor ceremonies in The Grove, The Green Cathedral, and The Lake View. The Trellis or The Great Hall both offer indoor options. 10. Mercury Hall
Built in 1904 by the inhabitants of the frontier town of Mercury for use as a church, the chapel survived two major fires that reduced Mercury to the quiet country settlement (pop. 166) it remains today. Sunday services, weddings, and prayer meetings took place in the building for more than eighty years. The decision was made in 1996 to construct a modern building for the congregation.
Mercury Hall construction began by selecting the proper site for the Hall in 1997, re-christened Mercury Hall in honor of its beginnings. I’ve never been part of a wedding that wasn’t a party!
11. Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa
One of the most classic Austin wedding venues in Texas, Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa welcomes brides-to-be to the stunning vistas and tranquil beauty of Texas Hill Country. Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Austin, and surrounded by the spectacular beauty of the rolling Texas Hill Country, Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is the picturesque and preferred choice for exceptional weddings. 12. South Congress Hotel
South Congress Hotel is a relatively newer Austin wedding Venue, but it easily made it into the Top 20! This downtown venue features an indoor event space, courtyards, gardens, and a pre-function room. The weddings that I’ve DJed here were smaller to averagely sized weddings – they worked well with an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception!
13. Texas Federation Of Women’s Clubs Mansion
Definitely in the top 10 of our favorite wedding venues in Austin! Since opening its doors in 1931, the majestic TFWC Mansion has been an ideal place to entertain and celebrate. In addition to wedding ceremonies and receptions, the Mansion hosts banquets, parties, concerts, and dances. I’ve DJed close to 20 epic weddings here. I can go on and on but you should for sure to check and see if this is a good fit for your big day! Here are a couple of shots from this venue.
14. The Allan House
The Allan House is a magical wedding venue built in 1883, in the heart of downtown Austin. Since The Allan House opened as an event center in 2000, it has garnered recognition as the top historic wedding venue Texas has to offer. The ceremony space is perfect for an amazing wedding ceremony and with a flip of the chairs, you’ll have the reception you’ve always wanted!
15. The Austin Club- Wedding Venue Austin
The Austin Club is one of the most lovely downtown Austin Ballroom wedding venues! The Millett Opera House, at 110 East Ninth Street, has been the home of The Austin Club since 1981. The Austin Club has been the place for some of my favorite Austin weddings to date. The bar area is perfect for cocktail hour, and the ballroom is an amazing backdrop for dinner, toasts, and dancing. We have to rate this venue and their staff at the top of our list of Top 20 wedding venues Austin Texas!
16. The Driskill – Wedding Venue Austin
The Driskill is an Austin Classic. Recognized as a coveted Austin hotel since 1886, The Driskill offers a historic setting entrenched in timeless charm. With a prime downtown location off 6th Street, the hotel offers a perfect vantage point for exploring Austin’s downtown and beyond. There are many rooms and areas for smaller weddings and of course the Mezzanine, which is the most popular area to host larger weddings and functions. The beautiful details, food, service, and location lands this Austin landmark in our Top 20!
17. The Terrace Club
The Terrace Club is easily at the top of my list of favorite venues! The outdoor ceremony areas are perched on the tallest ridge in the area, providing the perfect backdrop for your ceremony. And with 300 degrees of windows in our upstairs ballroom and 2,000 square feet of balcony space, you and your guests can continue to enjoy the views throughout your reception. The staff is stellar, the views are spectacular and weddings just “flow” at The Terrace Club. I’ve DJed more than 30 weddings here, and every single one of them had an awesome dance party!
18. Villa Antonia
Villa Antonia is home to some of my most memorable weddings. Nestled amid the undulating landscape of the Texas Hill Country is Villa Antonia. Located just northwest of Austin, head on out 1431 to be transported to another time and place with the old-world elegance of the estate. Together with the breathtaking, sweeping views of the surrounding hills, guests never forget their time at the Villa. The possibilities are endless on set up configurations here. I have a lot of experience at this venue and love being part of weddings at here.
19. Vintage Villas Hotel & Events
On a Hill Country Lane with a destination feel, Vintage Villas is a newly-remodeled Lakeway wedding venue! The secluded location offers the special feeling of privacy and exclusivity. The scenery includes spectacular lake views, manicured gardens and dramatic architecture by renowned architect, Sinclair Black. Vintage Villas is in our top 5 favorite venues. I can’t speak highly enough about the service and food at this place! They just got a facelift and remodeled in the reception area – go check it out ASAP! 20. W Austin Hotel-Wedding Venue Austin
I simply love the feel of weddings at W Austin! From the perfect proposal to the dreamiest honeymoon, W Austin always provides a brilliant backdrop for a wedding that reflects who you are as a couple. They recently went through a renovation and are ready to host your dream wedding. Set up a walk through and tasting today, you won’t regret it!
